How to travel with a van on LeShuttle Freight

Managing your transport is easy. Account customers can book crossings for their vehicles or use number plate recognition via dedicated online services. 

Le Shuttle Freight and VanPro prices may vary depending on your travel date, so we recommend checking fares in advance for VanPro bookings and consulting the Peak Days calendar if you’re crossing with the Freight service.  

Please note that a maximum of three passengers are authorized to travel in a commercial van crossing on LeShuttle Freight. This includes the driver.  

On your booked departure date, you can board the next available freight shuttle. Bookings are valid for 72 hours (24 hours prior to and after the booked date of travel). Touch-screens have been installed on our terminals at check-in specifically for vans. These are located in specific lanes and are clearly signposted from the access roads. 

After checking-in, simply proceed to the next available departure immediately after the safety controls carried out before boarding. 

How to travel with the VanPro service

In order to benefit from the VanPro service, you must be an account holder. Benefits of a VanPro account: 

• Book your departure time in advance.
• Avoid the peak traffic times on our Freight shuttles.
• Direct access to our Passenger terminals, check-ins and shuttles.
• Travel comfortably in your vehicle during the crossing.

The booking fare applies for your vehicle per direction and includes up to 3 passengers, including the driver.

• Book your crossings in advance. Arrive whenever you choose and enjoy maximum flexibility with fully amendable and refundable bookings!
• Simply drive on! With priority boarding, you are guaranteed to board on the next departure.

Essential information for van travel

• Vehicles travelling on the VanPro service may be subject to controls by dedicated scanners on our terminals
• Please ensure that your vehicles comply with the vehicle restrictions before travel
• Dangerous goods (even in limited quantities) are not permitted to travel on our passenger shuttles
• No LPG powered vehicles (or equivalent flammable gas)
• We do not accept pets on either our VanPro or freight services
